At Centre Orchidée, we believe that quality training is about more than simply learning a series of techniques.

We chose the term “Specialized Massage Therapy” to accurately represent the scope of our training without limiting our approach to a title associated with a single method or field of practice.
Our program brings together foundational knowledge, a variety of manual techniques, and a significant practical component, while placing Thai Manual Therapy at the heart of our training identity

In the Gatineau area, this reality is particularly very important. Our proximity to Ottawa means that our graduates may work with clients covered by a wide variety of private and federal insurance plans.
Several insurers, including Canada Life, now impose minimum training requirements of 1,000 hours for newly graduated Quebec massage therapists to meet their provider eligibility criteria.
These requirements can have a direct impact on the clients a massage therapist is able to serve and, consequently, on employment opportunities in spas, clinics, and other professional settings throughout the region.
